Harvey Fierstein hosts The 51st Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony, which honors actors, playwrights, composers, lyricists, librettists, directors, producers, and designers whose work was seen on Broadway, Off-Broadway or Off-Off Broadway during the past theatrical season. The gala awards ceremony takes place Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 9 p.m. at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. (Closed Captioning)

May 21st

From 5:15 PM to 7:45 PM

Executive Producer’s Reception Honoring the Nominees at Trump Restaurants at Trump Tower, 725 Fifth Avenue (between 56 th & 57 th Streets). Trump Catering will be serving hors d’ouerves and soft drinks. Grey Goose will provide vodka martinis and Bolla Wines will provide red & white wine.

From 4:45 PM to 5:30 PM

A special double-decker Gray Line NY Sightseeing Drama Desk Awards bus will be available to shuttle VIP pre-party attendees to the pre-show party at Trump Tower. The bus will leave from the bus stop located in front of the Crowne Plaza on Broadway, North of 48 th Street.

From 6:45 PM to 8:15 PM

Grey Line NY Sightseeing double-decker busses will shuttle VIP party attendees from the Trump Tower to the Concert Hall where one can stop at the General Reception before taking their seat in the Concert Hall starting at 8:30pm.

From 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

General Reception will take place in the Lobby of the LaGuardia Concert Hall @ Lincoln Center (F.H. LaGuardia H.S. of Music & Art and Performing Arts), 100 Amsterdam Avenue @ corner of W.65 th Street. There will be music, non-alcoholic beverages and edibles.

From 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM

The 51 st Annual Drama Desk Awards at the LaGuardia Concert Hall @ Lincoln Center (F.H. LaGuardia H.S. of Music & Art and Performing Arts) Hosted by Harvey Fierstein. TICKET REQUIRED.

Grey Line NY Sightseeing double-decker buses will shuttle VIP party attendees from the Concert Hall to the Post-Show Reception at the trendy John’s Pizzeria of Times Square (located at 260 West 44 th Street between Eighth Avenue & Broadway) where there will be pizza rolls, pizza, pasta, salad, Drama Desk special sheet cake dessert, coffee & soft drinks supplied by John’s. Grey Goose will provide vodka martinis and Bolla Wines will provide red & white wine.

9:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Nominations for the 2005/2006 Drama Desk Awards will be announced at 9:45 AM at The New York Friars Club, 57 East 55 th Street, by Marvin Hamlisch (composer of A Chorus Line) and Donna McKechnie (original star of A Chorus Line). Continental Buffet Breakfast will be served from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM

May 2nd

4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Nominees Cocktail Party at Arte Cafe, 106 West 73 rd Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues closer to Columbus). Arte Café will serve hors d’ouevres. Original Soupman will be serving soup in the garden. Grey Goose will provide vodka martinis and Bolla Wines will provide red & white wine. Nominees meet the press, receive their Nomination Certificates and sketch their contribution to the Drama Desk Art*Kives.

NOTE: A special Drama Desk Awards bus will be available to pick up Party Attendees at the Gray Line bus stop located in front of The Crowne Plaza on Broadway, North of 48 th Street. The bus will be returning guests to that same bus stop – leaving Arte Cafe at 5:15pm to accommodate those with early 7pm curtains and again at 6:15pm.
